The University of Iowa Center for the book is dedicated to producing an exceptional line of paper designed for conservation and book arts uses. All of the Center's papers have been developed specifically for these applications and Talas is proud to serve as an agent for their distribution. All papers are handmade, and have a neutral pH.

PC4 Case papers beautiful yet very tough sheets designed for paper case bindings. Due to the handmade nature of the paper there can sometimes be variations in color, weight, size and quality. The range of weight for the Case papers is .018-.022.

Case papers are made from raw flax cooled in lime without fermentation to provide maximum strength. Long fibers create a finished sheet with both good tear resistance and high fold endurance. Popular with book conservators and edition binders.
